Goat Cheese, Dates, and Walnut Mini Toasts
Here’s an idea for a very “pantry-style” toast, a kind of minimalist comfort food made with ease. This goat cheese, walnut, and date mini toast is the perfect snack playing on contrasts: the creaminess of the cheese, the sweetness of the dates, and the slight bitterness of the walnuts. It’s also the ideal tartine for a savory breakfast, brunch, or even an aperitif.
All its flavor lies in the quality of the ingredients: good fresh goat cheese, extra virgin olive oil, freshly ground pepper, beautiful slices of toasted sourdough bread, dates with sweet and caramelized notes, and crunchy, meaty walnuts…
Ingredients:
Fresh or slightly creamy goat cheese
Sliced bread
Dried dates
Coarsely chopped walnut halves
Extra virgin olive oil
Fleur de sel (sea salt flakes)
Pepper
Préparation :
Toast the bread slices.
Cut the dried dates into thin strips.
Once the bread is toasted, spread fresh goat cheese on the toast.
Then add the date strips and walnut halves.
Drizzle lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
Sprinkle a little fleur de sel and freshly ground pepper on top of the toasts.
Délicieux !
